An investigation into suspected child abuse prompted deputies to raid a southeast Prineville home on Tuesday morning, leading to the arrest of a 40-year old man on assault, drug, and other charges.
Deputies found and seized over three ounces of marijuana during the search, and arrested without incident Daniel Kentner, 40, of Prineville, Jurgens said. Deputies were assisted by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team and the county canine officer.
Kentner was lodged in the Crook County Jail and is charged with manufacture, distribution, and possession of a controlled substance; two counts of fourth-degree assault; harassment; reckless endangering; endangering the welfare of a minor; and frequenting a place where controlled substances are kept or sold.
Other charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a short-barreled rifle are pending, the sergeant said. |
