Two women and a man were arrested on multiple charges when they allegedly assaulted a local man during the course of a robbery in northeast Bend Sunday evening, said police. Detective Sergeant Paul Kansky describes the victim as an “associate” of the alleged suspects. About 7:30 p.m. Sunday October evening, Bend Police Officers responded to the north end of Desert Sage Street when a nearby resident reported an injured robbery victim had asked for help. Detectives and officers investigating determined that Daniel Howard Rountree, 29, was assaulted during a robbery by three associates who had conspired against him. An undisclosed amount of cash, but described as “small” by the detective sergeant, was taken from Rountree, said the news release.
An investigation involving additional co-conspirators is ongoing, and Kansky encourages anyone with information regarding the case to contact Bend Police Detectives at 541-322-2960. |
