WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Commission on Presidential Debates named schools in Mississippi, Tennessee, New York and Missouri as sites for 2008 presidential candidate debates.
The bipartisan commission said the first debate on domestic issues will be Friday, Sept. 26 at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, USA Today reported Tuesday.
The presidential candidates will meet again Oct. 7 for a town hall meeting at Belmont University in Nashville, where questions will also be accepted form Internet users. The final debate will be Oct. 15 at Hofstra University on Long Island, N.Y. on the issue of foreign policy, the report said.
The vice-presidential candidates will appear at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 2, the report said.
All of the debates will last 90 minutes, the commission said.
