TEHRAN -- Iran's nuclear chief Thursday warned that any move against the country's nuclear program would cause instability throughout the Middle East.

Chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili's proclamation came two days after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared no more concessions would be placed on Iran's nuclear program.

"The world knows that any meddling in Iran's security will have a domino effect (in the Middle East)," Jalili told a Tehran seminar, CNN reported. "We are ready to protect our own security and regional security as well."

The United States and numerous Western countries are concerned Iran's uranium enrichment could be used to create nuclear weapons, which Tehran denies.

The United Nations has imposed more than a dozen economic sanctions against Tehran, which claims it has offered full transparency and access to inspectors.
