Redmond police are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver that allegedly struck a boy in a crosswalk in southwest Redmond Thursday afternoon and fled the scene.
The boy’s mother reported that a vehicle turning onto SW Rimrock Way from SW Highland Avenue hit her son as he was crossing in a marked crosswalk about 5:30 p.m., November 29, causing a minor injury to his knee that didn’t require immediate medical attention, Redmond Police Officer Keith Knight reported in a news release. The driver then fled.
The vehicle was described as a light blue SUV-type, possibly a Ford, and possibly an Explorer. Police don’t know if the vehicle suffered any damage.
The driver was described as a heavy-set white woman with almost shoulder-length blond hair with different colored streaks.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Redmond Police at 541-504-3400, or call non-emergency dispatch at 541.693.6911. Callers should reference case number 07-35335, Knight added. Redmond, Oregon |
