QUETTA, Pakistan -- A bomb went off at a Madrassa Islamic school in Pakistan's Balochistan Province, killing six students and injuring four others, it was reported Tuesday.
The Monday attack occurred at the Jamia Imdadul Alum in Qila Saifullah, near the border with Afghanistan. The report quoted the seminary's management as saying they suspect an Afghan national, who had left early in the morning after staying overnight at the facility.
Balochistan is rich in natural gas and its people are fighting for greater autonomy from the Pakistani government. The region also faces attacks from pro-Taliban and other militants in Afghanistan.
