A 58-year old Prineville woman was seriously injured and airlifted to the hospital after icy conditions caused her vehicle to slide out of control and off the side of the road in a rollover crash four miles south of town on Sunday morning.

Deloris Dixon’s 2000 Isuzu Rodeo landed upside down after crossing the oncoming lane of traffic and leaving Bonnie Road near Baker Lane about 10 a.m., December 9, Crook County Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Travis Jurgens said.

Dixon was flown by AirLife helicopter to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon with unknown injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and no citations were issued, Jurgens reported.

Oregon State Police and Crook County Fire and Rescue personnel assisted deputies on scene.
