ODOT has established detour routes
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) closed the highway about 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, with the major slide activity occurring about noon.  Road detours have been stablished from the area, to and from Astoria.

Recent storms caused a build-up of trees, debris, and mud, Oregon Department of Forestry officials said.

According to TripCheck, ODOT recommends motorists avoid the closed highways by using the following suggested detour routes:

US30 six miles west of Clatskanie at milepost 68 is closed.  Westbound traffic is advised to use US30 to Longview Bridge to SR4 to SR401 to US101.

US30 five miles west of Clatskanie at milepost 67 is closed. Traffic from Astoria should use US101 to SR401 to SR4 to Longview Bridge to Eastbound US 30.

ODOT also advises ORE47 two miles south of Clatskanie from milepost 3 to 11 is closed indefinitely due to debris, high water, multiple slides and damaged roadway.
