Wonderland Express is giving area residents four unique opportunities to help over 300 at-risk children and families in Central Oregon.  Volunteer to cut and sew hats and scarves at the Sew-a-Thon, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11th at Cynthia’s Sewing Center (1445 S. Highway 97, Suite A, Bend).  All ages and skill levels are welcome.  To sign up, call 541-383-1999.

Then bid on that special gift or holiday adornment at the silent auction during Holiday Marketplace, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., November 25, 2006 at Sunriver Resort’s Homestead.  All auction items are donated by Holiday Marketplace vendors, with proceeds benefiting Wonderland Express.

And visit a giving tree at Bank of the Cascades in Sunriver or Sage Springs Club and Spa.  Select a tag, pick out the perfect present and return the gift back to the Bank of Cascades in Sunriver or Sage Springs Club and Spa unwrapped by Dec. 16, 2006.

Over 300 vulnerable children and their families, randomly identified through FAN (Family Access Network), have been invited to attend this magical holiday party, featuring a visit from Santa, wrapped gifts and a stuffed stocking for the children, hay wagon rides, professional holiday photos, warm winter items, bagged groceries, a magician and a traditional buffet amid holiday decorations and activities at Sunriver Resort. 


Wonderland Express is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Deschutes County’s vulnerable children and families have a holiday filled with fun and laughter.   All donations are tax-deductible (tax id # 20-0036466) with 100% of the funds raised going directly toward the event.  Give to Wonderland Express, a magical, memory-making celebration in the spirit of Sunriver Resort’s Traditions festivities.  To learn more visit
