Domino Room Hosts Free Celebration of World Peace Day

"One," a free, all ages multi-media concert, performance and celebration of World Peace Day, will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, November 17, at the Domino Room, 51 N.W. Greenwood Avenue, in Bend.

"One World, One Race, One Destiny" is the theme of the World Peace Day event that will bring together musicians, performance artists, dancers, and videomakers in an evening celebration of peace.

Performances will include belly dancing by Bijou Project; spoken word artists Jason Graham, Jay Ray and the Slam Team; improv by the Comedy Mill's Monkeys in the Cockpit; music and songs by GeniCo, Rohantha Reggae, Jenni Peskin, The Bushwackers, Dennis McGregor; drums by Cadance 3; silhouette dancing by Cassandra Wheeler; real-time painting by Barbara Largent; street interviews by Aaron Switzer; video by Joe Leonardi; and more.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and people are encouraged to bring four cans of food to donate to Neighbor Impact (formerly COCAAN) and OSPIRG's Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness in our community.
