Deschutes County deputies took an unidentified man who was allegedly trespassing in the Tumalo Falls-area into custody for evaluation at a local hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Confused and disoriented in blizzard conditions, the man, about 50-years old, was found about 3:30 p.m. inside a woodshed at a home near Tumalo Falls accessible only by snowmobile or track ATVs, Cpl. Wayne Morgan said.
911 Dispatch first received a report by a concerned citizen about 2:20 p.m.  A little over an hour later, another call was received from the homeowner whose woodshed the man was taking shelter in.
U.S. Forest Service personnel and deputies traveled by snow vehicles to the location where the man was taken into custody, the corporal said. The man was uncooperative, refused to give his name and was not carrying identification.
Deputies transported him to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for evaluation, Morgan said, adding that the investigation is continuing.
