A 62-year old Prineville woman who lost control of her SUV and crashed on icy McKay Creek Road about six miles north of Prineville late Monday night escaped without injury, deputies reported.

Crook County Sheriff’s Sgt. Travis Jurgens said that Zanna Jones lost control while driving in icy conditions about 11:45 p.m., January 7, slid off the road and then crashed through a fence before her 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe came to a stop.

Jones was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured, Jurgens said, adding that no citations were issued.
