Nine die in train-van collision

DIGHA, India -- A train slammed into a motorized cycle van in India Tuesday, killing nine people and injuring two more.

The Press Trust of India said the 11:30 a.m. accident occurred at an unmanned crossing in the popular Bay of Bengal resort town of Digha.

The injured were admitted to a hospital at Contai. Their conditions were not known.
