Salem Police investigating theft of 20 steel shelving units

The Salem Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in their investigation of the theft of 20 very distinctive steel shelving units from a local business.

The shelving units, approximately eight feet in length, painted bright orange and of considerable weight, were taken from the fenced yard of an industrial business in southeast Salem, Oregon. Police believe that the theft occurred during the evening of January 9 or January 10 when the suspects cut through the fence and into the yard.

Investigators believe the suspect(s) may try to sell the units for scrap metal and are asking for the public's help in locating this property.
