A 59-year old Oregon City man was found dead of what deputies described as obvious trauma at a Milwaukie Texaco station Monday morning, and detectives are seeking witnesses who may have noticed anything suspicious or out of the ordinary.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s office, Gurdev Sohi was found deceased at 17869 SE McLoughlin Blvd. in Milwaukie, a Texaco station and Express Oil Lube, about 6:20 a.m., February 4, when they responded to a report of a “person down”.  Deputies secured the area and called in detectives.

No suspects and no possible motive have yet been identified, but the scene is being investigated as a murder, detectives said. They declined to release the nature of the trauma that resulted in the victim's death.

Anyone who has information about the incident, which is believed to have occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., or may have noticed suspicious or unusual activity near SE McLoughlin Blvd, or between SE Boardman Road and SE Jennings Avenue, is asked to call the Tip Line at 503.723.4949.
