A 48-year old Prineville man, reportedly active with the Boys & Girls Club of Central Oregon and a coach of several youth athletic teams, was arrested Friday and charged with 164 crimes related to the alleged sexual abuse of a girl, now 19, over a ten year time period which began when the victim was in third grade. Detectives believe there may be other victims who haven’t yet come forward.
Hill was arrested at the OSP office about 3:30 p.m., February 8, and was lodged in the Crook County Jail with bail set at $6.85 million, Detective Andrew McCool said. He faces 84 counts of first-degree sex abuse, 20 counts of first-degree rape, 30 counts of first-degree sodomy, and 30 counts of second-degree sex abuse.
“There may be other victims who have not contacted police,” Detective McCool said, adding that Hill has lived in other areas prior to moving to Crook County in the late 1990s. The suspect reported resided in Union, Oregon in the early 1990s, and in Hermiston in the mid 1990s.
Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to contact OSP Detective McCool at (541) 388-6213, ext. 207.
