An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect police have identified in a carjacking at Costco last weekend. Leads, an investigation and witness interviews led detectives to believe 26-year old Kevin Allan Couch is the man who wielded a knife when he pushed the female car-owner to the ground as she pushed her eight-month-old child in a stroller.

According to Bend Police Sgt. Paul Kansky, the stolen vehicle, a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was recovered in the area of SW Gleneagles Way late Wednesday morning.

The victim, a 31-year old Bend woman, was carjacked about 12:35 p.m., February 9, as she was leaving the store at 2500 Highway 20. Neither the woman nor her child was injured, Sgt. Kansky said.

The whereabouts of Couch is unknown at this time, the sergeant said.  When he is located and taken into custody, the suspect will face charges including first-degree robbery, coercion, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful use of a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, 26-years old, with brown hair and a medium build. He has reddish facial hair, a pierced lower lip, and was last seen wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who sees Couch is warned not to approach him. “Call 911 immediately. He is to be considered armed and dangerous,” Kansky said.

Anyone who has information about the case is asked to contact Bend Police at 541. 693.6911.
