SCRANTON, Pa. - A Greyhound bus traveling from New York and to Toronto crashed and flipped over Sunday, causing numerous injuries.

The bus was near Scranton, Pa., when it crashed and flipped over several times into the median, said a Greyhound spokesman in Dallas.

Dozens of injured passengers were sent taken to a hospital after firefighters worked to rescue them from the upside down bus, Canwest News Service reported.

"A cause had not yet been determined and we are cooperating fully with the police and we will conduct our own investigation," said Greyhound's Dustin Clark.

A communications officer with the Pennsylvania State Police in Lackawanna County said late Sunday the injured passengers had been treated and discharged from hospital.
