Woman steals car, crashes into 21 others at Bend dealership

Police are on the lookout for a woman who allegedly stole a car early Thursday morning from a northeast Bend, Oregon auto dealership, then crashed the stolen vehicle into 21 other cars in the lot before it became wedged between two vehicles. The unidentified suspect fled before police arrived.

Bend Police Lt. Ken Mannix said officers were dispatched to the scene at Kendall Auto Group, 1975 NE Highway 20E, just before 5 a.m., February 28. The preliminary estimate of the total number of damaged vehicles is 22, with no damage estimate yet established.

“The suspect in this case is still outstanding,” Mannix said, asking anyone with information to contact police at 541-322-2960.

When the suspect is apprehended, she will face multiple counts of first-degree criminal mischief and charges for unlawful entry into and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
