Girlfriend arrested in Milwaukie man’s murder

MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Police have released few details into the murder of a 48-year old man found dead of “suspicious circumstances” at a metal fabrication business on Thursday morning, but the victim’s girlfriend has been arrested.

Milwaukie Police took Sonia Marie Ulness, 40, into custody and charged her with a single count of murder. Ulness, reportedly in a domestic relationship with the victim, is being held in the Clackamas County Jail without bail. She is scheduled for arraignment Friday afternoon.

Randy Lee Chipman, 48, of Milwaukie, was found deceased at WW Metal Fab at 2200 SE Mailwell about 10:20 a.m., February 28.  Police did not reveal the manner of his death.
