BEND, Ore. -- Police are looking for a man with a gun who held up a northeast Bend taco shop early Friday morning, demanding money from employees at the drive-up window and then fleeing the scene.

According to Bend Police Sgt. Tom Pine, officers were dispatched to Rigobertos Taco Shop at 1913 NE Third Street about 1 a.m., March 7, when they received a report of an armed robbery. The business is open 24-hours per day.

Employees told police a man wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun escaped with an undisclosed amount of money taken from the cash register.

Police officers and Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter around the location, and assisted by K-9 dogs from each agency, searched for the suspect without success, the sergeant said.

No one was hurt in the incident, Pine said, and an investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bend Police at 541.388.0170.
