PORTLAND, Ore. -- A 39-year old Portland OBGYN doctor was arrested and on Friday was indicted on almost a dozen crimes in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of two young children, deputies reported.
Dr. Thomas Lee, 39, surrendered to Washington County Sheriff’s detectives last week, was arrested, and released on bail.
Following a grand jury indictment for four counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse, Lee was arrested at his home on Friday and was lodged in the Washington County Jail in lieu of $2,250,000 bail, deputies said. Detectives began the investigation February 15 after a report was received that the two “young” children whose ages were not disclosed, had been allegedly touched inappropriately “in a sexual manner”. The abuse was reported to have occurred on several occasions at the doctor’s home in Cedar Hills, an area in unincorporated Washington County.
