HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore could have a post in a potential Barack Obama administration, the U.S. senator from Illinois says.
Obama said he regularly talks with Gore, who hasn't endorsed a candidate in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama said he consults Gore often on climate change issues, CNN reported Thursday.
"I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this (climate change) problem," Obama said Wednesday while campaigning in Pennsylvania.
Gore's work on raising awareness about global warming has earned him a share of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize and an Academy Award for the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," which is basically Gore's lecture on the issue.
