Louis Alfred Turner was last seen at his apartment about 1 p.m., April 3, and requires regular medication for his illness, Bend Police Detective Brian Beekman reported.

Police received information that Turner may have walked to the Butte, and on Saturday at 9 a.m. closed it to the public so that Deschutes County Search and Rescue team members could more effectively search the area. As of late afternoon, the missing man had not been located.

He is described as a white male, 61-years old, about six-feet tall with an estimated weight of 200 pounds. He has gray hair and a gray beard, with green eyes. He may be wearing a brown coat and tan work boots, Beekman said.
