MADRAS, Ore. – A 51-year old Madras man died Saturday afternoon in a Bend hospital from injuries he received when his motorcycle was struck by a pickup in Madras, Oregon, on Highway 361, police reported.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Sgt. Don Wagner, Wayne Schjoll, 51, of Madras, was riding his 1981 Honda motorcycle south on Culver Highway when the accident occurred about 1 p.m., April 12.
Schjoll’s motorcycle was hit by a 1975 Chevrolet pickup driven by 28-year old Jeremy Pollock of Culver, Wagner said. Pollock was driving east on Belmont Lane and was turning onto Culver Highway at the intersection when his pickup collided with the cycle, the sergeant said.
