Allegedly suicidal man arrested following gunfire

PRINEVILLE, Ore. -- Police responding to the report of a suicidal person later arrested the man on various firearm-related charges for allegedly shooting a gun several times earlier in the evening inside a home where several people were present.
According to a Prineville Police news release, officers responded to NE 2nd Street and NW Idlewood Streets about 8 p.m., May 11, to a report of a possibly suicidal subject. Darrin Allen Breese, 22, of 898 NE 2nd Street, was found and transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Police Chief Eric Bush said in a news release. Police searched a home at 130 Primrose Court when they discovered Breese had allegedly fired the gun inside, and seized as evidence a .45 caliber hand gun, discharged bullet, and several .45 cartridge cases. |
