Two men and a woman were killed late Friday night in a fiery single vehicle crash in southwest Redmond, and police are actively requesting the assistance of any potential witnesses to the accident.

Tentative identification was made on the driver and female passenger, although the names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and identification of the male passenger, said Officer Curtis Chambers with Redmond Police.

According to Chambers, police were dispatched to SW Canal Boulevard near SW Badger Avenue in Redmond on Dec. 22 about 11:45 p.m. to the report of a single vehicle crash where the vehicle was engulfed in flames.

With assistance provided by Redmond Fire personnel, the three persons were found deceased inside the vehicle.

An Oregon State Police (OSP) crash reconstructionist was assigned to the accident, and the investigation is continuing.  It wasn’t known at the time of the news release whether alcohol or drugs were involved, said Officer Chambers.

The Redmond Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying two young men as potential witnesses who flagged down a passing motorist to report the crash, but left before law enforcement personnel could speak with them.  Police are also attempting to locate anyone that was at the scene who may have witnessed the crash, or anyone who was on location when police arrived.  These persons are encouraged to call 693-6911.
