Bend auto dealership suffers $30k in vandalism

BEND, Ore. – A Bend auto dealership suffered more than $30,000 in damage to 15 separate vehicles sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, police reported.

Bend Police Lt. Ken Mannix said officers were notified on May 27 of the criminal mischief incident that involved spraying damaging paint remover on vehicles for sale in the Thomas Sales & Service dealership’s lot at 2060 NE Highway 20E Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police at 541.322.2960.
