Alleged Salem burglar caught red-handed

SALEM, Ore. – A 24-year old Salem man was apprehended by sheriff’s deputies early Saturday morning as he was gathering items from a south Salem home after he allegedly entered the residence’s garage, climbed into the attic, and cut a hole in a bathroom celing.
According to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office news release, an alarm of the home in the 3200 block of Inland Drive South sounded shortly after 1 a.m., May 31. Deputies Lance Weitman and Bob Arnsmeier accompanied by a police dog searched the home, discovered the suspect, and arrested Sean T. Kirk Kirk was lodged in the Marion County Jail and was charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief and parole violation, the news release stated. |
