A 30-year old Redmond man was arrested for drunk driving when he rolled his pickup in a single vehicle crash in southwest Redmond early Saturday morning.  The driver also was allegedly in unlawful possession of a firearm, said authorities.

Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies and Redmond Fire & Ambulance personnel responded to the scene of the crash on Highland Avenue near SW 13th Street about 1:45 a.m. December 23, wrote Sergeant Dan Bilyeu and Deputy Justin Alps in a news release.

When they arrived, they found a 1999 Ford Ranger blocking Highland Avenue, in an upright position after crashing and rolling.

The driver, Brian Alan Stockes, was offered and declined medical attention at the scene, said Sgt. Bilyeu.  The lone passenger, identified as Levi Allan McClure, was apparently uninjured.

Following the investigation, added the sergeant, deputies placed Stockes in custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants and unlawful possession of a firearm.
