LA PINE, Ore. – A two-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries and was flown to the hospital after he fell out of a second-story window to a cement driveway below at his family’s home in La Pine, Oregon Sunday afternoon, deputies reported.
La Pine Fire paramedics and Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home of Mason Perryman, 36, at 16418 Heath Drive #A in La Pine about 4:45 p.m., August 24.
The investigation determined that the child had been upstairs with his mother alongside him as he watched his father outside. When his father stepped out of the child’s view, the toddler pushed against the screen to get a better vantage point and fell out of the window to the cement driveway below, a news release stated.
La Pine Fire paramedics transported the injured toddler to the fire department where they were met by an Air Link helicopter for air lift to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
“It appears the two-year-old’s injuries are non-life threatening, Sgt. Husband said.
