Keegan Steffan Nils Eriksson, 19, was stopped for a traffic violation by police near Bear Creek Road and Pettigrew Road about 5:15 p.m., and when officers learned that the suspect’s drivers license was suspended his car was impounded per departmental policy, Bend Police Sgt. Greg Owens stated in a news release.

During a standard inventory of the vehicle, over ½ pound of marijuana – about 8.5 ounces worth about $1,600 – was discovered in a large plastic bag in the car’s trunk, Owens said.

Eriksson was arrested on scene, found with a pair of brass knuckles in the pocket of his pants, and was transported to the Deschutes County Jail.

He was charged with manufacture, possession and delivery of a controlled substance, and carrying a concealed weapon, the sergeant stated.
