SE Bend hit with rash of vehicle break-ins

BEND, Ore. – Bend Police say they have no suspects in the rash of vehicle break-ins that occurred Saturday in the southeast part of the city, and are encouraging the public to contact them with any information they may have pertaining to the case.

Sgt. Chris Carney said most of the 17 vehicles were located on SE King Solomon via Scandia to Greenmont Drive when they were broken into on February 28, and that about $5,000 worth of property – including a firearm – was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 541.322.2960. Whoever is responsible could face multiple counts of first-, second-, and third-degree theft and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.
