PRINEVILLE, Ore. — The Bridge Creek Roadside Salvage Timber Sale has been awarded to Butte Timberlands, and logging will begin once snow has been cleared on the roads to the sale Area, the Ochoco and Deschutes National Forests and Prineville District Bureau of Land Management Office of Communications announced.

Logging trucks will be operating on the roads in approximately two weeks. The haul route will be posted with highway signs.

Snow plowing may begin as early as March 9th on Road 2630 at the Highway 26 junction. This is the location of the Marks Creek Snow Park and sled hill. Plowing will continue onto Road 2210, 22, 2210-150, 2630 and 2630-450.

This affects groomed snowmobile trails in the Walton Lake Snow Park area. The Forest Service will be signing the information kiosks at Ochoco Divide and Walton Snow Parks.

The shortest groomed snowmobile trail route to Indian Prairie from Walton Snow Park will be to travel south on Trail #2 to Trail #3 and then north to Indian Prairie.
