Toxicology of Lebanon teen found dead shows alcohol, marijuana

LEBANON, Ore. -- Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller reported today that his office received the toxicology reports from the Oregon State Police Forensic Laboratory in regards to the death of 14-year-old Quentin Thacker.

Thacker’s toxicology reports showed the presence of alcohol, marijuana.

Thacker, a high-school Freshman, was found dead on January 18, face down in a drainage ditch near 1250 S. 9th street in Lebanon, Oregon. An autopsy was performed by the Oregon State Medical Examiners Office and revealed Thacker died by drowning. The toxicology report indicated he had a blood alcohol level of .21%. The report also indicated a presence of marijuana in his system.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office has completed its criminal investigation and found no evidence of foul play in Thacker's death. All reports have been forwarded to the Linn County District Attorney for review of possible criminal charges for furnishing alcohol to a minor.
