WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Barack Obama headed from the East Coast to the West Coast Wednesday for scheduled appearances in Southern California.
One of the hottest tickets is a town hall event at the Orange Country Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, Calif., where members of the waiting crowd told the Los Angeles Times they hoped to ask the president about their lost jobs, healthcare issues and the administration's plans for helping small businesses, as well as express anger about the government's bailout of Wall Street firms and American Insurance Group.
The town hall is part of the president's two-day tour through Southern California, which includes a town hall meeting in Los Angeles, an appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and a tour of an electric vehicle plant in Pomona.
