WASHINGTON -- The town hall morphs from questions at mics to bits and bytes Thursday as U.S. President Barack Obama discusses the economy streamed live on WhiteHouse.gov.
In "Open for Questions," a new feature on the White House Web site, Obama will answer questions about the economy submitted and voted on by the public through WhiteHouse.gov, the Web site said. In addition, a 100-member live audience can ask follow-up queries.
Facilitating the town hall will be Jared Bernstein, chief economist for Vice President Joe Biden.
"Open for Questions" is Obama's latest effort to make the White House and his administration accessible to U.S. citizens, the Web site said.
