ALOHA, Ore. – A 10-year-old boy was attacked Wednesday and bitten several times on both of his legs by a pit bull that has a documented history of other attacks, deputies reported.

According to Washington County Sheriff’s deputies, the child was riding a two-wheeled “razor” on the sidewalk in front of the Beaverton International School and the dog, whose owner lives across the street, ran at him and attacked. The boy reportedly kicked at the dog and a neighbor and the victim’s father came to his aid, then the dog broke the attack.

The dog owner, 35-year old Brian Rader of 17735 SW Blanton Street, was cited for violation the county Dangerous Dog ordinance. Washington County Animal Control said this is the third documented bite from the same dog.

Deputies said the dog is being quarantined at the Bonnie L. Hayes Animal Shelter in Hillsboro, where it will remain for ten days.
