The High Desert Men’s Summit 2007 coming to the Deschutes County Expo Center March 16-17, announces contemporary Christian rock band Third Day will headline the HDMS evening concert (open to the entire family) on Saturday night, March 17, in the Hooker Creek Arena. The program also features Todd Agnew and regional band Calling Simon. Tickets are available online at www.hdmsummit.org. Concert prices (including ticketing fee) are $31 for “artists circle” seating and $23 general admission.
Atlanta-based Third Day recently celebrated another career milestone as it registered its 23rd No. 1 radio hit "Mountain of God" from its RIAA certified Gold album Wherever You Are. Over the past decade the band has sold 6 million albums while garnering numerous Gold records, 24 Dove Awards, two GRAMMY Awards, two consecutive American Music Awards, and multiple other honors. Recently nominated for two more GRAMMYS, Third Day has maintained a touring record second-to-none rocking world-wide audiences reaching into the millions. The band’s humanitarian accomplishments include raising nearly $200,000 for victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita and encouraging over 15,000 music fans to sponsor impoverished children through the work of World Vision.
The High Desert Men’s Summit 2007, a non-profit faith-based regional men’s event, seeks to build better dads, husbands and leaders by focusing on issues and topics challenging men today. Featuring nationally acclaimed speakers such as evangelist Dave Roever, H. B. London from Focus on the Family, and former major league baseball star Dave Dravecky, the Summit also offers over 25 expert-led workshops on important topics ranging from “How to be a Better Dad” and “Marriage Communication Skills,” to “Managing Finances” and “Business Leadership,” to very serious issues such as “Pornography” and “Addiction.”
