Three boys, two 16-year olds and a 12-year old, were apprehended early Thursday morning and charged with repeatedly burglarizing the Mountain View High School field house and stealing property worth over $2,000, police said.

Just before 1 a.m. on January 4, a Tronite Security officer found the three juveniles behind the school, near the field house, reportedly in possession of school property.

Investigation by Bend Police detectives found the juveniles had allegedly entered several different buildings in the school, and used a key they found to the field house to break in on four separate occasions during the past month -– stealing property each time, said Sgt. Dan Ritchie.

Stolen property was recovered at the boys’ homes and from the scene, said the sergeant, adding that none of the boys were students of Mountain View High School.

Each boy faces four counts of second-degree burglary and a single count of first-degree theft.
