According to Deschutes County Sheriff's Sgt. Bryan Husband, deputies were called to an intersection near Butler Market Road and Hamehook Drive just before 10 a.m., April 29, in response to a reported crash.

Their investigation determined that Jeffrey Joseph Majors' 2002 Dodge pickup crashed into the rear of a 2009 Toyota Matrix which had been stopped at a stop sign.

The Toyota's driver was identified as Adam Aaro, 27, of Bend. Aaro received reportedly non life-threatening injuries and was transported by Bend Fire paramedics to St. Charles Medical Center, the sergeant said.

Aaro's passenger, 24-year old Darci Moore, was also taken to the hospital, but by a private party. She also received non life-threatening injuries, Husband said.

Majors was not hurt. He was taken into custody, arrested, and transported to the Deschutes County Jail. He will face charges including driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Both vehicles received major damage and were towed from the scene. All involved persons were wearing their seatbelts, the news release stated.
