A 23-year old Bend man was arrested for allegedly stealing a small amount of money from a southwest Redmond home, assaulting a woman who tried to stop him from leaving, and hitting a parked car and a boy as he sped away, police said. Both the woman and boy sustained minor injuries. Shortly before 6 p.m. January 12, Redmond Police officers and Oregon State Police troopers responded to 2050 SW 34th Street in Redmond to a report of a domestic dispute, said Lt. Brian McNaughton. When officers arrived, they found a robbery had occurred and the victims named Jack Stephen Blum as the suspect. A short while later Bend Police located Blum at his residence, a mobile home in Suntree Village at 1001 SE 15th Street in Bend. He was taken into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail in lieu of $18,000 bail for charges including third-degree robbery, third- and fourth-degree assault, failure to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person, and third-degree criminal mischief. |
