Two men, one a registered sex offender, have been charged with raping a 14-year-old Aloha girl they pursued online at MySpace.com, a popular social networking web site favored by teens, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday. Jover Mabaet and Dennis Keomoungkhoune, both 21-year old Portland residents, were arrested January 12 after the victim’s father allegedly found the two men in bed with his daughter, said deputies. The suspects first met the girl in person, then developed the relationship online through the MySpace web site.

WCJ photos Detectives believe it is possible that the two men may be involved with other young girls they have met in person or interacted with on MySpace. Mabaet and Keomoungkhoune were scheduled to be arraigned at 3 p.m. January 18, and were lodged in the Washington County Jail on $370,000 bail. Both men faces three counts each for third-degree rape and first-degree burglary. Keomoungkhoune is also charged with two counts of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, and Mabaet is charged with one count for the same offense.
