Redmond Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who alleged assaulted and tried to pull a woman into his car early Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of SW Timber Avenue in Redmond about 3:20 a.m. to the report of an attempted abduction, said police Captain Al Maich in a news release.

Responding officers contacted an adult female who reported she was assaulted by a man who tried to pull her into his car.  The victim sustained minor injuries during the encounter, Maich said.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set older man with gray hair and a long gray beard, wearing a dark shirt.  He was driving an older, silver-colored, four-door sedan or hatchback, said Maich.

The man may have been at the Fireside Grille and Lounge in Redmond earlier that morning.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the non-emergency dispatch number at 541-693-6911.
