In an Executive Work Session held Tuesday, the Bend City Council appointed Councilors Mark Capell and Jim Clinton to serve on a team set up to negotiate the terms of the final, contractually-binding Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) for Juniper Ridge. The negotiations will take place concurrently with the master planning for Juniper Ridge.

The DDA will set the ground rules between the City and master developer Juniper Ridge Partners LLC. Along with the two councilors, the negotiating team will include the City’s Economic Development Director, legal representation and an outside real estate professional. The negotiating team will update the City Council during council meetings and provide frequent updates to the public.

Juniper Ridge is comprised of 1,500 acres of undeveloped land owned by the City at the north end of Bend. The City envisions the land will hold a research and development center, house a university, create a mix of light industrial businesses, and provide residential homes and a town center.
