Singer/Songwriter, guitar phenom, Janet Robin will be appearing at The Grove, July 7th at 7 pm, for a special evening of acoustic power pop.

Ms. Robin is touring in support of her release “After The Flood…” on Little Sister Records and introducing new material to her fans.   Ms. Robin has been performing with the likes of Meredith Brooks and Michelle Shocked.  After last year’s engagements, Ms. Shocked said, “Janet is one of the best guitarists [she] knows in this country…male or female.”  This is a compliment that Ms. Robin has been hearing since her days as a featured member of the Lindsey Buckingham Band [Fleetwood Mac].

Ms. Shocked recently wrote, “The thing I appreciate best about [“After The Flood…”] is the tender heart inside the tough gal.  It really takes a lot of courage to express the honesty you share throughout the material.  The guitar playing is, as usual, stellar and you have created quite a voice for yourself…”

Ms. Robin will be going into the studio within the next month to start recording her latest album with producers David Bianco [Tom Petty, Teenage Fanclub, Rhett Miller] and Steve Baughman [Eminem, 50 Cent] at the helm.  She has been writing songs with the likes of Marcy Levy [Eric Clapton, Shakespeare Sister] and Maia Sharp [Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt].  She will be performing a number of these new songs during her show.
