Two women escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash in southeast Prineville Friday, deputies reported. Investigation by the Crook County Sheriff’s Office determined that Alecia Teig, 19, of Prineville, was traveling too fast and failed to negotiate a corner near the intersection of SE Combs Flat Road and Carey Foster Road, Sgt. Travis Jurgens said. Her 1994 Chrysler Lebaron crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by 45-year old Sherri Spry, also of Prineville. Neither driver required medical attention, said Sgt. Jurgens, and Teig was cited for failure to drive within a lane of traffic.
