Public invited to Boyd Acres, Empire Ave. construction project meeting

The public is invited to learn more about the Boyd Acres & Empire construction project scheduled to begin this summer. The public meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 22 in the Elks Lodge #1371, located at 63120 Boyd Acres Road in Bend, Oregon.

"We want residents to learn more about the construction project and to meet the City’s engineers and the city contractor, Jack Robinson and Sons,” said Ken Gould, Bend’s project manager. “We’re holding this meeting to let the public know what to anticipate during the construction process and to give everyone an opportunity to tell us what their concerns are.”

Drawings and maps will be on display to help the public visualize what the new intersection will look like. The Boyd Acres & Empire construction project is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and is anticipated to cost $2.3 million.
