A 62-year old La Pine man was arrested Friday evening on various drug and weapons charges when a Street Crimes Unit (SCU) raided a third area-home within a two day period, detectives reported.

The SCU, comprised of deputies from Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) and Redmond Police officers who focus on street-level drug sales, served a search warrant at 15990 Jacobsen Road in La Pine about 5 p.m. as part of an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine sales, said DCSO Sgt. Mike Espinoza.

During the search, detectives allegedly found over one-half ounce of meth, drug records, and packaging material, in addition to two firearms – sufficient evidence to arrest Dennis Luckman, 62, of La Pine.

Luckman was taken into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail where he faces charges of possession, delivery, and manufacture of methamphetamine, in addition to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

This latest search warrant concluded a series of three warrant executions in the La Pine area in a two day period, Espinoza said.
