One of the country's top golf course superintendents, Eric Greytok joins Central Oregon's Remington Ranch; Greytok's credits include course preparations for two U.S. Open Championships at Winged Foot Golf Club and Pebble Beach Golf Links
(BEND, Oregon) His resume includes course preparations for two U.S. Open Championships (2006 Winged Foot Golf Club and 2000 Pebble Beach Golf Links) and a U.S. Amateur Championship (2004 Winged Foot Golf Club), and now Eric Greytok brings his expertise to Central Oregon where he will look after Remington Ranch's three championship courses beginning with Tom Doak's Wicked Pony. Greytok will assume his new Golf Course Superintendent role beginning March 21.
"The timing could not have been better for both parties, as Eric was looking to make a lifestyle change for his family at the same time we were beginning to search for a superintendent," said Remington Ranch Project Manager Chris Pippin. "We feel fortunate the opportunity arose, allowing us to have someone of Eric's caliber at Remington Ranch."

Most recently, Greytok spent six years as Golf Course Superintendent at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York, a 36-hole private facility that is ranked #5 in Golf Digest's list of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses." While there, Greytok prepared courses to host the 2006 U.S. Open Championship, the 2004 U.S. Amateur Championship, and the annual Anderson Memorial Golf Tournament. Prior to that, Greytok served as Golf Course Superintendent at Pebble Beach Golf Links, ranked #1 in Golf Digest's list of "America's 100 Greatest Public Courses." At Pebble Beach, Greytok annually prepared the course for the PGA Tour AT&T Pro-Am and the Callaway Invitational.
Greytok happened upon Remington Ranch while doing some online research on Central Oregon and North Carolina as possible areas to relocate his family from New York. After reading that Tom Doak had been retained to design the Wicked Pony course at Remington Ranch, Greytok contacted Doak's office, which subsequently put him in touch with John Shaw at Winchester Development (developers of Remington Ranch).
"In talking with John it became clear that the vision for Remington Ranch presented an opportunity to be part of the creation of an incredible golf experience," said Greytok, who visited Central Oregon and Remington Ranch in January. "Here, the mountains and surrounding topography will weave together to create a golf experience that is both dramatic and romantic."
Greytok received a Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Science from Penn State University in 1995. In addition to Winged Foot Golf Club and Pebble Beach Golf Links, Eric has held course superintendent and maintenance roles at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md., Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa. He and his wife Kelly have two children, Joe (3) and Kendall (18 months).
